The Weekly Weekend Mix is a weekly mix made for your weekend by Staff, Friends, and Readers of Lo-Pie. Send
your mixes to email@example.com.
This week’s mix comes directly from the heads of our friends in Ancient Animals. They’re a duo of grimey destructors bent on channeling the likes of the late Lux Interior and perhaps Jeffrey Lee Pierce through the evil bells and whistles of a drum emulator and a lot of stray sounds. This is the devil. The devil is pretty cool. You can catch them here (www.facebook.com/ancientanim) and you can participate in the gore at this Saturday’s Backyard Barbeque Binge, co-presented by DRrecords and those silly-ass Pie-kids you know so well.
Anywho, the mix they’ve concocted for you is a series of one-offs, which is not uncommon for these folks. I heard they eat humans. It’s a mix of old and new, with no apparent direction but directly boring into that brain of yours. But enough of that, dig some tunes and enjoy your fucking ghoulish weekend.
Until next time.
