Today’s weekend mix is curated by Daiana “Fever” Feuer, the lady behind the raddest music festival you’ve never heard of (but you will!) AND this Saturday’s Lo-Pie/Fever/LA Record show at The BlindSpot Project in DTLA. Daiana’s band Bloody Death Skull will be performing alongside The Abigails and Scott Yoder with Lo-Pie DJ’s spinning between sets. She put together a killer mix of old and new school country, rockabilly and garage to get you in the mood for the show. Here’s Daiana on her song choices:

My theme is Blood, Love, Aliens, and Wieners. Songs about evil things, teen romance, Satan, madness, outer space, food as euphemism for sex, mostly from the 1950s and 60s with a few exceptions, delivered in the form of mutant rock, country, girl groups, blues, rockabilly, and garage. These songs definitely inform Bloody Death Skull’s music and I think The Abigails and Scott Yoder can relate to a good chunk of it, too. Most of all I just can’t resist a song about hot dogs.

Eat it up and we’ll see you on Saturday! RSVP here if you haven’t already.
